Russia’s Kadrin may build Siberia’s 1st solar power plant in 2016
NIZHNY NOVGOROD, Nov 2 (PRIME) -- Russian timber plant Kadrin plans to finish construction and launch Siberia’s first industrial solar power plant in late 2016 in the Altai Region with equipment supplied by Hevel, a joint venture of multi-industry holding Renova Group and nanotechnology company Rusnano, Hevel said in a statement late on Tuesday..
“It will be the first facility of the kind powered by solar power in Siberia’s industry. The launch of the solar power plant is scheduled for the end of 2016,” the company said, adding that the plant will consist of 1,080 solar power modules with a combined capacity of 134.5 kilowatts.
Hevel plans to invest 12 billion rubles in the construction of five solar power plants in the region with a combined capacity of 80 megawatts by 2020.
